About my protection plan options
Our In-House Protection Plan will provide you with worry-free solar care. Sun Kissed Energy customers automatically receive a complimentary first year worry free In-House Protection Plan. This 1-year service plan is extendable, subject to the update and renewal policy addressed below in this document, and available annually on the anniversary date of installation. Customers may cancel their service plan at any time.
The Protection Plan applies to Sun Kissed Energy solar systems installed by their in-house or approved electrical contractors only. The Protection Plan applies only to the original end use purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owner(s) of the property on which the solar system is originally installed, however, Sun Kissed Energy may offer continued coverage to subsequent owner(s) of a property provided the proposed new owner agrees with Sun Kissed Energy to sign up for the Protection Plan and Sun Kissed Energy determines the new owner is eligible for coverage at Sun Kissed Energy’s own discretion following inspection of the solar system. The service plan start date shall be the date of installation by the original purchaser.
Sun Kissed Energy will repair or replace the system, at Sun Kissed Energy’s own discretion, including the cost of labour, if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the service plan start date under normal application, installation, use and service conditions.
Nothing in this service plan is meant to promise a specific power output of a solar system installed by Sun Kissed Energy. Sun Kissed Energy disclaims any representation or warranty about the output of any solar system subject to this Protection Plan. Furthermore, Sun Kissed Energy is not liable for any lost electricity production by the Customer as a result of the delay in effecting a repair or replacement of the Customer’s solar system, including without limitation any amounts in respect of the Customer’s lost profits from not being able to sell electricity into the grid or the Customer’s expenses from having to purchase additional electricity from the grid.
Sun Kissed Energy will not be liable or responsible to a Customer under this service plan for any failure or delay in their performance under the terms of the service plan when and to the extent such failure or delay is caused by or results from acts or circumstances beyond Sun Kissed Energy’s reasonable control, including, without limitation, a physical event or condition not known at the time the solar system was purchased, acts of God, flood, fire, earthquake, tsunami, explosion, governmental actions, regulations or controls, war, invasion or hostilities (whether war is declared or not), terrorist threats or
acts, riot or other civil unrest, national emergency, revolution, insurrection, epidemic, pandemic, lockouts, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to our workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials, materials or telecommunication breakdown, or power outage.
